Study of wintering flamingos, Phoenicopterus roseus, in Maremma

Abstract

Study of wintering flamingos, Phoenicopterus roseus, in Maremma. Ringed Flamingos were studied in Maremma marshes (Grosseto province). Origin, migratory movements and site fidelity were analyzed. Most of the 694 birds observed came from Comacchio (44.7%) and Camargue (39.5%).
