Study on Dynamic Characteristics of Rubber‐Red Clay Mixtures

Abstract: Rubber powder formed from discarded tire rubber is mixed with red clay to form a rubber-red clay mixture. The dynamic triaxial test was carried out on the mixtures under different conditions. The effects of rubber content, rubber particle size, moisture content of mixed soil, compactness, confining pressure, and vibration frequency on shear strain relation, dynamic shear modulus, and damping ratio of the mixture were investigated. The results show that under the same dynamic strain, the dynamic shear stress-st… Show more

“…Ying and Wu 7 presented nonlinear vibration of a moving flexible printed electron web under multiphysics dynamics and obtained the stable working range of the web. Chen et al 8 studied the dynamic problem of mixture. Based on the energy variation theory, Ying 9 established nonlinear differential equations of motion for a graphene electron membrane and obtained the stable and unstable working domain.…”

“…Tang [12], Cai [13], Lei [14], and Liu [15] found that there was a critical cyclic stress ratio for the development of the dynamic elastic modulus of cohesive soils under cyclic loading. Mu [5,16], Yang [9], Zhang [17], Zhang [18], Liu [6,19], Chen [20], and others confirmed that red clay is the same. When the cyclic stress ratio is greater than the critical cyclic stress ratio, the cumulative deformation develops rapidly with the cyclic vibration times.…”
