Study on Effect of Nano-CaCO3 on Properties of Phosphorus Building Gypsum

Abstract: Phosphogypsum is an industrial by-product from the wet preparation of phosphoric acid. Phosphorus building gypsum (PBG) can be obtained from phosphogypsum after high-thermal dehydration. Improving the mechanical properties of PBG is of great significance to extending its application range. In this paper, PBG was modified by adding nano-CaCO3. Specifically, this study, conducted on 0.25–2% nano-CaCO3-doped PBG, tested effects on the fluidity, setting time, absolute dry flexural strength, absolute dry compressiv… Show more

“…14, it can be seen that with the increase in PVD-C internal mixing, the flow degree of the phosphogypsum slurry increased, and the setting time was also gradually extended. 26 When the PVD-C internal mixing was 1.5%, the flow degree reached 210 mm, and the initial and final setting times were 29 min and 32 min, respectively. Compared with the control group, the flow degree increased by 16.67%, the initial setting time increased by 31.81%, and the final setting time increased by 23.08%.…”
