The unreasonable actuation of electric vehicle’s motor drive system usually results in a lot of unwanted energy consumption on a slope road. This paper proposes an eco-cruise control (ECC) scheme based on the driving condition estimation to decrease electric vehicle’s energy consumption in the constant-speed cruise control mode. The eco-cruise control scheme is realized by reducing the unreasonable actuation of the motor drive system. The vehicle’s total mass and pitch angle are estimated in real time by using an improved base-vector-based cross iteration estimator (BVCIE). Based on the estimated results, the required torque is predicted. Combining the speed deviation between the desired speed and the real speed, and the torque deviation between the required torque and the real torque, a three-power nonlinear controller of the ECC scheme is designed. The ECC scheme is validated on a slope road with different cruise speeds on a cosimulation platform, and the results indicate that the proposed strategy enjoys a better speed maintenance ability and energy efficiency compared with the benchmarked cruise control.

: This paper presents a new algorithm based on model reference Kalman torque prediction algorithm combined with the sliding root mean square (SRMS). It is necessary to improve the accuracy and reliability of the pinch detection for avoiding collision with the height adjustable desk and accidents on users. Motors need to regulate their position and speed during the operation using different voltage by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to meet the requirement of position synchronization. It causes much noise and coupling information in the current sampling signal. Firstly, to analyze the working principle of an electric height adjustable desk control system, a system model is established with consideration of the DC (Direct Current) motor characteristics and the coupling of the system. Secondly, to precisely identify the load situation, a new model reference Kalman perdition method is proposed. The load torque signal is selected as a pinch state variable of the filter by comparing the current signal. Thirdly, to meet the need of the different loads of the electric table, the sliding root means square (SRMS) of the torque is proposed to be the criterion for threshold detection. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, the experiments are carried out in the actual system. Experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can detect the pinched state accurately under different load conditions.

Abstract:To solve the problems of internal and external disturbances caused by mechanical wear, electrical aging and complex road conditions, a practical and robust pinch detection algorithm is proposed for the anti-pinch control systems of the car's sunroof. The proposed algorithm makes use of grey theory to predict and compensate the uncertain disturbances. To detect electric sunroof pinch state, a kind of torque rate is selected as the observation state due to the less sensitivity of the torque rate to the uncertainty of the motor's parameters and supply voltage than the torque or the angular speed. The torque rate is obtained by using angular velocity measurements calculated from the Hall sensor output. To detect the pinched condition, a systematic way to determine the threshold level of the torque rate estimation is also suggested. The experimental results show that our method meets the requirements of European Directive 74/60/ECC, China GB 11552-2009 and America Directive FMVSSll8,and has excellent performances in detecting car's electric sunroof pinch state.
