Study on preparation and properties of novel ternary flocculant for rapid separation of underground continuous wall waste mud

Abstract: Purpose A novel ternary flocculant was prepared by a simple compounding method to achieve efficient and rapid mud-water separation. This paper aims to discuss the possible mud-water separation mechanism. Design/methodology/approach This experimental study aims to investigate the effects of different types of flocculants on the separation of waste mud water and the degradation of flocculants in the supernatant. The flocculating component, the ratio of the flocculating accelerator to the flocculant and the add… Show more

“…Nevertheless, the utilization of the 21 coagulation method for dye wastewater treatment inevitably results in considerable sludge generation, thereby leading to a significant increase in operational cost. [27][28][29] In the realm of coagulants for wastewater treatment, a common classification system divides them into two categories: inorganic and organic coagulants. Inorganic coagulants, including but not limited to iron salts, silver salts and magnesium salts, are effective at removing suspended solids and colloidal dyes from dye wastewater.…”

“…The diaphragm wall technology was used for the first time in China when the dam impervious wall was built in the DanZiKou reservoir in Qingdao. Since then, it has been widely used in the construction of anchorage foundation of long-span suspension bridges in the field of bridge construction, and achieved good application effect [3,4]. The technology is becoming more and more mature.…”
