“…53 Our previous studies have found that Ni NPs induced damage in the testis tissues of SD rats and ICR male mice and caused irregular swelling of the mitochondria and mitochondrial sheaths in sperm cells and supporting cells. 17,18 Thus, it can be speculated that the reduction in sperm quality may be due to the insufficient levels of mice male reproductive hormones caused by testicular damage after exposure to Ni NPs.
