Study on the linear dynamic model of shield TBM cutterhead driving system

Abstract: This paper establishes a generalized linear time-varying (G-LTV) dynamic model of the shield tunnel boring machine (TBM) cutterhead driving system, and the corresponding linear time-varying multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) statespace model is also presented. The dynamic model reveals that the number of the driving motor can affect the performances of the shield TBM driving system. The dynamic model is a basis of the multiple motors synchronous control, and it is also a basis of faults diagnosis of shi… Show more

“…Different shield TBM cutterhead forms can adapt to different geology conditions. Figure 4 shows different shield TBM cutterhead forms which mainly include the spokes form (Figure 4(a), [1,2] [1,2]). Figure 5 shows shield TBM cutterhead profile and inner mechanical transmission structure.…”

“…The cutterhead mainly has spokes form, hybrid form, and panel form, and these are shown in Figs. 1(a-d) [23][24][25]. Shield TBM cutterhead profile and inner transmission structure are shown in Figs.…”

“…In [19][20][21][22], the cutterhead load torque is analyzed and estimated under different geology conditions. In [23][24][25], a nonlinear and linear kinematics model of the cutterhead driving system are established. At present, vibration models of shield TBM cutterhead driving system are rarely reported.…”
