Study on vegetation benefit of shelterbelt in three northern regions based on PIE-engine and NDVI time series data: a case study of Bayannur region

Abstract

Desertification is a major global ecological problem affecting human survival and development. China is one of the most desertified countries in the world, and the desertified land is mainly distributed in the three northern regions. In this paper, remote sensing technology is used to study the annual images of Bayannur from 2018 to 2022 from different angles, and annual data of desertification area, vegetation change area and net ecosystem productivity of Bayannur in recent years are extracted. Finally, three different methods were used to extract the data of Bayannur shelterbelt and forecast the future trend of Bayannur shelterbelt. This reflects the relevant situation of Bayannur Shelterbelt in 2024-2026 to a certain extent, and provides help for the country to cope with the desertification crisis.
