A tetragonal scheelite BiVO4 thin film shows high sensor response (S = 900 for 75 ppm) to ammonia at room temperature (RT). Prolonged stability (S = 58.2 for 25 ppm), good repeatability makes it a promising candidate for an ammonia gas sensor at RT.
