Abstract: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has rapidly expanded into a global pandemic caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Genetic drift in global SARS-CoV-2 isolates and protein evolution have an impact on their ability to escape from current antiviral therapeutics.
