Abstract: The objective of this work was to investigate changes in the acoustic characteristics of micromachined transducers caused by acoustic cross-coupling between cells. We used hexagonal, polymer-based capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (polyCMUTs) consisting of 127 cells connected in parallel.
