Abstract:Purpose: To evaluate the dosimetric potential of respiratory‐gated volumetric‐modulated arc therapy (VMAT) to reduce the dose to normal lung when treating early stage non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).
