Abstract: The Meliata Unit (Meliaticum) is a tectonic superunit of the Western Carpathians that incorporates the blueschists-facies Bôrka Nappe and the low-grade metasediments and polygenetic mélange, Meliata Unit s.s., both occurring as scattered tectonic slices overlying the Gemeric Superunit.
