Abstract

The difference of score points between the operated to the opposite site in Bateman II and III groups did not show unfavourable values at higher age whereas adverse data were found in the Bateman IV group. In the Bateman IV group, in addition to cuff repair a muscle flap or arthroplasty should be considered in the choice of operative procedure.
