Abstract:Adenomucinosis is a rare condition characterized by accumulation of large volumes of mucin, typically related to mucinous neoplasms of the appendix within the peritoneal space. Extraperitoneal adenomucinosis is an uncommon variant where mucin accumulates outside the peritoneal space and usually arises following surgery for mucinous appendiceal neoplasms.
