Substantiating rational schedule to load trucks using draglines while mining a pit of Motronivskyi MPP

Abstract: Purpose. To substantiate a rational schedule for the combined dragline-truck operation taking into consideration a coefficient of mining in the context of the pit. Methodology. Mathematical and graphical modeling was involved while determining a coefficient of mining concentration in the pit as well as feasibility analysis to select a rational procedure scheme for dragline operation. Findings. Recommendations for the selection of rational dragline operation, while truck loading in the context of Motronivsk… Show more

“…For the Pivnichnyi open-pit of the Pokrovskyi MPE, five technological schemes for developing overburden with two benches using non-transport and transport-dump systems are proposed. These schemes are assessed based on stripping ratios, the cost of mining of one ton of ore, and capital costs for the purchase of stripping excavators [9][10][11]. A comparison was made of the proposed schemes with the scheme actually used in the open-pit for the development of overburden with three benches.…”

“…The research was accompanied by the use of certain well-known technological and design solutions for hydromechanized mining [19], transportation [20], processing [21], and storage of molding sands [22] with the formation of previously unknown sequences and connections as part of the technological complex of mining and processing in relation to the peculiarities of the geological structure of the deposit and the physical and mechanical properties of the mineral [23]. The work used well-known techniques IOP Publishing doi:10.1088/1755-1315/1269/1/012024 3 [24] to determine the parameters of the movement of solid particles within the flow part of a vertical hydraulic classifier [25].…”

“…The mining efficiency can be increased by concentrating mining operations on a relatively small area by forming a working zone with minimum sufficient dimensions [3]. In this way, the intensity of ore mining increases with the minimum current volumes of stripping operations [4]. Reducing the volume of stripping operations, as well as transferring them to later periods of production, is most often achieved by conserva-tion of certain working wall zones with subsequent reactivation [5].…”
