Substituent Effect on the Photoreduction Kinetics of Benzophenone

Abstract: The kinetics of the photoreduction of four benzophenone derivatives by isopropyl alcohol was examined in acetonitrile, namely tetra-meta-trifluoromethyl-, di-para-trifluoromethyl-, di-paramethoxy benzophenone and for comparison the unsubstituted molecule itself.
