Substrate Integrated Waveguide Power Divider, Circulator and Coupler in [10-15] GHZ Band

Abstract: The Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) [9] has been studied. Figure 1 illustrate the RSIW which is designed from two rows of periodic metallic posts connected to higher and lower planes mass of dielectric substrate. Figure 2 and 3 shows the similarity of the geometry and the distribution of the electric field between (RSIW) and the equivalent rectangular wave guide [2] [3]. In this paper, [10][11][12][13][14][15] GHz band RSIW components are proposed and optimized. They are essential for many microwave an… Show more

“…A tapered microstrip line is important to match the SIW with 50Ω transmission lines impedance. By following the guidelines given in [18] [19], the initial value of tapered width (Wt) and tapered length (Lt) shown in Fig. 4 are determined [9][19] using expression (8) to (11).…”

“…Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) is a techniques can achieve a little loss in the highest frequency that can come up with very good frequency performance on low dielectric permittivity substrate materials compared to coplanar waveguide (CPW) and planar circuits in microstrip [4] [5]. The development of Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) methods build-up from double rows of conducting via (slots) filled in a dielectric substrate to connect two plates (copper planes) of substrate [6] [7].…”
