Abstract:Hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS) is a rare thrombotic microangiopathy characterized by the triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia (MAHA), thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney injury. The disease is pathologically marked by fibrinoid necrosis within renal arterioles and glomerular capillaries.
