Abstract: Background An aortoenteric fistula (AEF) is a rare and lethal complication of esophagectomy. Fistulas frequently result from problems regarding acute infections or leaks, which are typically evident weeks after the treatment. However, some cases exhibit AEF years after the initial operation.
