Successful treatment of floating splenic volvulus: Two case reports and a literature review

Abstract: BACKGROUND The floating spleen refers to the spleen moving away from the normal anatomical position to other parts of the abdominal cavity. CASE SUMMARY In this report, we describe two cases of torsion of floating spleen, which were successfully treated by laparoscopic partial splenectomy and retroperitoneal fixation of the residual spleen.
