Abstract:A new technique is presented for the transient simulation of high-speed VLSI interconnects modeled by lossy transmission lines with nonlinear terminations. The recent Asymptotic Waveform Evaluation (AWE) technique is extended from analyzing linear circuits to nonlinear ones. Significant CPU speedup over conventional simulators such as SPICE is achieved.
