“…However, a few interesting examples coming from the broad Ancient Near East and Central Asia region can be mentioned. The first is a cylinder seal of presumed Harappan provenance from the De Clerq collection (Corbiau, 1936, p. 100), the iconography of which could also be partially related to the BMAC imaginary (Olijdam, 2008, p. 276). Regarding the style of this piece, however, one should also note the ruffed necks, that some of the quadrupeds have, which, together with the characteristic centrally drilled single eye of all portrayed species, clearly refers to the Dilmunite iconography (Crawford, 2001; Kjaerum, 1980).…”
