Summary of and Lessons from Domestic and Overseas Setting of Truck Escape Ramp

Abstract: Setting condition and setting location of truck escape ramps in the USA, New Zealand, South Africa, Britain, Australia and China are analyzed in detail and summarized in this paper, it is found that more comprehensive consideration is made in the USA, and it is considered that the function of quantitative analysis for setting the location of truck escape ramp is limited. Finally, clauses and clause explanations which can be adopted in standards and regulations for domestic transportation industry are formed.

“…The parameters of the wheel discrete element are as follows: the radius is 0.55 m, the width is 0.3 m, the moment of inertia is 23.6 kg.m 2 , the load index is 140/137, the speed symbol is K , the wheel pressure is 900 kPa, and the center coordinate of the model is taken as (0,0,0).…”

“…An aggregate with an average diameter of 20 mm is randomly generated for the established wall. The gravitational acceleration in the z direction is set to g z = −9.81 m/s 2 , and the gravitational accelerations in the x and y directions are both 0. When the ratio of the average sum of the contact force and the volume force of all the particles to the sum of the contact force and the volume force applied to the particles is less than 0.01%, the aggregate is considered to have reached equilibrium.…”

“…Location is a lifetime decision-making process in which a set of different information according to the goals and limitations of the project is collected and evaluated in successive stages in order to finally achieve the optimal location option, according to the goals and needs of a project. Location problems are a branch of operations research and are among the problems whose information varies depending on geographical situations [7,8]. e main purpose of location problems is maximum success in achieving the goals of stakeholders or groups related to the project (such as users, community, industry, and environment groups).…”
