Abstract:  Energy based design  Nonlinear dynamic time history analyses  Steel moment frames Results: It is also observed that hysteretic energy distribution does not follow a uniform pattern for the 4-,8-,12-and 20-story frames. The results are evaluated to obtain inelastic hysteretic energy distribution and energy demand spectrum.
