Supercapacitor studies of electrochemically deposited PEDOT on stainless steel substrate

Abstract: Ka‐band low noise amplifier (LNA) module with wide dynamic range is presented using 0.15‐μm pseudo‐morphic high electron mobility transistors for radar applications. Two of attenuator‐combined low‐gain LNA microwave monolithic integrated circuits are cascaded to increase the gain without degrading input power handling capability. There exist two operating modes depending on the level of input power, that is, low power and high power modes. The measurement shows a high gain of 21.9 dB and low noise figure of 2.7… Show more

“…Moreover, conducting polymers can contribute charge storage by acting as a redox-active material, because they can be readily converted between the oxidized (p-doped) and reduced (ndoped) states by switching the applied potential. [20][21][22] In this work, we report on the fabrication and characterization of an EDLC with a new additive which is composed of PEDOT:PSS (poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate)) and SWNTs.…”

“…Stainless steel substrates have also been used due to the low cost compared with noble metals. Stainless steel has been used as a substrate for the electrodeposition of polypyrrole [14], PTh or its derivatives [15,16], and PANi [17]. Another commonly used substrate for energy storage is carbonaceous materials such as carbon mat, carbon fiber, and carbon paper [18][19][20].…”

“…PEDOT electrodes prepared in aqueous electrolyte containing 0.1 M H 2 SO 4 and the surfactant SDS are found to yield higher specific capacitance than those prepared from neutral aqueous electrolyte. Specific capacitances of 250 F g −1 were obtained during the initial stages of cycling [15]. A specific capacitance of 130 F g −1 and an enhanced cycle life (up to 70 000 cycles) were obtained for a PEDOT film prepared in ionic liquid electrolyte [112].…”
