Abstract:Unconventional superconductivity in the Chevrel phase offers a wide structural aspect to understand the superconducting ground state. A detailed investigation on the superconducting properties of Re based pseudobinary telluride Chevrel phase Mo4Re2Te8 is reported. It crystallizes in a trigonal structure with the space group R 3H having superconducting transition temperature at TC = 3.26(3) K.
