“…The V 2p spectrum within the range of 527 to 510 eV displays the V 2p 1/2 peak of VOH at 527 eV and the V 2p 3/2 peak from 520 to 510 eV (Figure c). The fitted high-resolution XPS of V 2p presents two V 4+ peaks and two V 5+ peaks, situated at 515.45 eV (V 4+ 2p 2/3 ), 522.93 eV (V 4+ 2p 1/2 ), 516.75 eV (V 5+ 2p 2/3 ), and 524.31 eV (V 5+ 2p 1/2 ), further confirming the mixed valence state of the vanadium oxide. Based on peak areas, the relative molar ratio of V 5+ to V 4+ in the VOH sample is 3.30:1, resulting in an average valence state of V at 4.77, which closely aligns with the theoretical average valence state of 4.80 for V 10 O 24 ·12H 2 O.…”

“…Moreover, new heights appear at 12.4 and 36.11 during discharge, which can be attributed to the Zn x (OH) 2 V 2 O 7 Á2H 2 O species. 24,42 It seems that introducing zinc ions triggers a new phase, while their removal causes it to disappear. This implies that zinc storage relies on a co-intercalation/de-intercalation process of the Zn 2+ and proton (H + ).…”

“…The excellent electrochemical performance is attributed to the formation of vacancies, struc-tural defects and V─O─N bonds after most of the NH 3 molecules escape from the 𝛽-Na 0.33 V 2 O 5 skeleton. The composite prepared by combining the double monoclinic 𝛿-Na x V 2 O 5 with VO 2 (B) by Pan et al [39] Also shows superior electrochemical performance due to its special synergistic effect. The evolution of the crystal structure was also analyzed by ex situ XRD (Figure 6j).…”
