Superior vena cava syndrome after correction of partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection

Abstract: Partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVС) is an infrequent congenital heart defect. We report a case of rare complication following the correction of PAPVС in a 55 years-old male. On the fourth postoperative day after surgical correction of the mentioned congenital defect, our patient suddenly developed the superior vena cava (SVC) syndrome.
