Supersymmetric branes inAdS2×S2×CY3

Abstract: The problem of finding supersymmetric brane configurations in the near-horizon attractor geometry of a Calabi-Yau black hole with magnetic-electric charges (p I , q I ) is considered. Half-BPS configurations, which are static for some choice of global AdS 2 coordinate, are found for wrapped brane configurations with essentially any four-dimensional charges (u I , v I ). Half-BPS multibrane configurations can also be found for any collection of wrapped branes provided they all have the same sign for the symplec… Show more

“…This implies, as for an electron in a magnetic field, that at low energies the coordinates of a single D0 become noncommuting 4) and that the low energy configurations have S 2 wave functions described by one of the p 0 + 1 lowest Landau levels. 7 It can be seen 8 that for an appropriate AdS 2 trajectory, as described in [6], these lowest Landau levels preserve one-half, or a total of 4, near-horizon 7 The number of lowest Landau levels is p 0 + 1 instead of p 0 due to the curvature of the S 2 .…”

“…In this paper we continue this chapter, expanding the classical analysis of [6] by studying D0-brane configurations, including quantum effects as well as non-abelian effects for multiple D0-branes. One interesting result is that, due to magnetic RR fields, the D0-branes probe a non-commutative deformation of the attractor geometry.…”

“…One can see that these values of the charges forbid any term in the action with a single y or υ, provided that only neutral terms appear. 16 Let us also note that when the string moves in T 6 (i.e. the coordinates y are not constant) it is possible to gauge-fix the eight fermions ϑ to zero using half of the kappa-symmetries.…”
