Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse and interpret the consultancy, guidance, examine-research and control functions of supervision within the frame of contemporary and democratic education and to make relevant suggestions. This is a review study based on the related literature. Contemporary and Democratic Education Theory builds up the subject and theoretical basis of the study. Supervision is the administrative subsystem assigned to carry out general purposes of Turkish National Education. Education raises future individuals through current understanding and methods.
