“…Some have argued that nurse prescribing has been a deliberate ploy to dismantle the power and professional remit of medical staff. SP has led to an extended role for nursing staff and has led to interesting and novel ways to deliver inpatient care (Harborne & Jones 2008). The art and science of prescribing takes on tasks such as diagnosis, treatment and formulation, and these tasks are still seen as the remit of doctors.…”

“…The practical application of SP is beginning to be clearly documented. Case studies have been written describing a process of how SP could be used in hospital settings for people with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia (Jones & Harborne 2005, Harborne & Jones 2008, Jones & Jones 2008). The National Prescribing Center (2005) has also outlined how SP could be used across a range of community settings and has provided good practice examples of how nurses could be supported in practice.…”

“…There was no statistically signi cant difference in the JOA and VAS scores between the two groups, p>0.05. An integrated management model of the whole course enables CDH patients to receive percutaneous endoscopic treatment and obtain effects consistent with the classical surgical procedure while avoiding or signi cantly reducing the complications associated with that approach; it also improves the patient compliance rate, signi cantly reduces the length of hospital stay, and reduces the recurrence rate of symptoms [32][33][34] . Through the integrated management of the whole course, we can promote the consistency of medical and health education, improve the compliance of CDH patients so that they actively cooperate with the treatment, cultivate and maintain good living and work habits, and strengthen awareness of maintaining the health of the cervical spine [3,14,24].…”

“…Its wide application in the clinic still needs to be explored. In addition, considering the rehabilitation needs of different diseases, for some special patients, the whole-process integrated management model can be extended to cooperation with dietitians, rehabilitators, pharmacists and other multi-professional personnel to discuss and optimize the management plan for the rehabilitation of patients during hospitalization and after discharge [33][34][35] .…”

“…They play a plethora of roles ranging from that of a case manager to a source of compassionate support in the therapeutic process. [1] Over the years, choice of psychiatry as a profession has been found to be low among undergraduate nursing students. [23] Internationally, the shortage of psychiatry nurses is attributed to negative attitudes of nursing students toward mental illness and the subsequent decision to elect out of psychiatric placements.…”
