Supplementation with the Gut Microbiome‐Derived Metabolite Trimethylamine N‐Oxide Induces Aortic Stiffening in Young Mice

Abstract: Elevated plasma levels of the gut‐derived metabolite trimethylamine N‐oxide (TMAO) cause atherosclerosis in mice and predict cardiovascular (CV) risk in humans.
