“…The CE is inherently restorative, with the goal of keeping goods, components and materials at their highest level of utility, promoting a paradigm shift in how materials and resources are used (Ellen MacArthur Foundation, 2015). Its immense complexity and scope span across various disciplines, making it a vast concept that requires efforts and studies at multiple levels for efficient and effective implementation (Braz & de Mello, 2023).…”

“…Supply chain management (SCM) literature has been developed mostly on linear supply chains (Carter et al, 2015; Nair & Reed‐Tsochas, 2019). To understand the relationship between CE and SCM, recent researches are proposing nonlinear supply chains (SC) with nonlinear flows through feedback‐loops more dynamic and complex (Braz & de Mello, 2020; Kazancoglu et al, 2020). Circular supply chains have been suggested as an extension of closed‐loop SC (Batista, Bourlakis, et al, 2018; Batista, Gong, et al, 2018) incorporating CE principles (De Angelis et al, 2018), and recently as a circular economy supply network (CESN) with hybrid‐loop configuration, closed‐loop and open‐loop SC combined, integrating different SC and industries (Braz & Mello, 2022).…”
