“…The specific surface area ( S BET ) of HPW anchored samples with respect to bare Meso‐HZ‐5 support was observed to be decreased with increase in HPW loading. This finding is speculated to the fact that, some pores of the Meso‐HZ‐5 support were blocked by the heteropolyacid clusters .…”

“…To analyze the structure of the POM‐based composite, FTIR spectroscopy is also a suitable method. For SiW 12 , peaks at 766, 918, and 975 cm −1 can be ascribed W‐O c ‐W, W‐O b ‐W, and W−O d stretching, respectively (Figure S3a in the Supporting Information) . For PANI/EGC , the C=C stretching bands of quinonoid and benzenoid rings appear at 1561 and 1455 cm −1 , and the C−N stretching bands are located at 1301 and 1219 cm −1 , respectively.…”

“…For SiW 12 ,p eaks at 766, 918, and 975 cm À1 can be ascribed W-O c -W,W -O b -W,a nd WÀO d stretching, respectively ( Figure S3a in the Supporting Information). [66] For PANI/EGC,t he C=Cs tretching bands of quinonoid and benzenoid rings appear at 1561 and 1455 cm À1 , and the CÀNs tretching bands are located at 1301 and 1219 cm À1 ,r espectively.I nq uinonoidr ings, the characteristic NÀQs tretching band emerges at 1119cm À1 ( Figure S3b in the Supporting Information). [67] For SiW 12 @PANI/EGC(B),t he above peaks are retained, but their positions change slightly (Figure 3f).…”

“…The catalytic behaviour of PW 12 depends strongly on the modifications of the secondary structure and, in particular, on its Brönsted acidity, which is influenced by water. The hydration state of the secondary structure determines not only the accessibility of the reacting molecules but also the number and the strength of the surface acid sites, that is, the H 5 O 2 + species , …”

“…The dehydration of 2‐propanol is used frequently to investigate the acidic character of catalysts such as supported heteropolyacids . In previous work, some of us studied the role of the HPA support in the (photo)catalytic dehydration of 2‐propanol to propene and concluded that the type of support (semiconductor or insulator) affected the reactivity of the composite material. Furthermore, for the hydration of propene in both catalytic and photocatalytic systems, various insulator and semiconductor oxides have been used as supports of HPA, and these oxides play the role of the semiconductor in the reaction mechanism when irradiated by light with appropriate wavelengths; however, experimental evidence through electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy of the electron transfer to the HPA species has not been presented , .…”
