“…These peptides have been used as building blocks to construct structure‐predictable nano‐objects based on tubular brush supramolecular polymers . Our previous work has focused on polymer conjugates based on water‐soluble homopolymers, such as poly(ethylene glycol), poly( N ‐acryloylmorpholine), and poly( N , N ‐dimethyl acrylamide) . It is anticipated that introducing both hydrophobic and hydrophilic homo‐polymers onto cyclic peptides could afford amphiphilic diblock copolymers and may result in more complicated self‐assembly nanostructures with the help of hydrophobic interactions.…”

“…Specifically, a tubular supramolecular polymer was disassembled when CB[7] was attached to the polyethylene glycol (PEG)‐modified cyclic peptide containing two Phe units, and this structure could be reversibly assembled upon addition of adamantanamine (Figure 3 a). [23] …”

“…Self-assembling peptides are critical to the design of new materials for medical and biological applications (Abbas et al, 2017;Li et al, 2017;Zou et al, 2017;Otter and Besenius, 2019). Self-assembling cyclic peptide nanotubes (SCPNs) are tubular supramolecular aggregates obtained by stacking flat cyclic peptides (Bong et al, 2001;Rodriguez-Vazquez et al, 2017;Silk et al, 2019;Song et al, 2019). One of their key features is precise control of their internal diameter; the properties of their outer surface can also be tuned via the constituent amino acids (Chapman et al, 2012;Lamas et al, 2018;Mendez-Ardoy et al, 2018;Shaikh et al, 2018).…”
