Surface changes in wood submitted to thermomechanical densification

Abstract: Ideal thermomechanical treatment conditions that reduce roughness and increase hydrophobicity of the wood surface require further investigation. In this study, a thermo-mechanical densification process was applied to Gmelina arborea (gamhar) wood.
