Abstract:To excite surface modes of photonic crystal for both transverse-electric (TE) and transverse-magnetic (TM) polarizations, we put forward a honeymoon lattice of plasmonic photonic crystal composed of dielectric and metallic rods. We investigate the band dispersions of the photonic crystal by finite element method (FEM) and supercell method. The surface modes for both TE and TM polarizations can be simultaneously excited on the zigzag edge. The surface modes on the metallic edge have near-zero group velocity. By… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
