“…The preliminary DBR treatment was applied to one half of the plates to obtain initial samples with a modified surface, which can be further used for comparative analysis after processing in the gyrotron discharge. Currently, DBR is a known method of surface cleaning (see, e.g., [ 51 , 52 ]). After DBR treatment, the surface of the plates becomes smoother, the number of irregularities and microcracks decreases, traces of metal rolling become visible, and small scratches appear on the surface.…”

“…The DBD plasma treatment was carried out in a home-made chamber. 11 The plasma was ignited between a copper plate serving as high voltage electrode and the sample acting as ground electrode with an Al 2 O 3 ceramic with a thickness of 2 cm in between. All measurements were performed at atmospheric pressure using an overall gas flow of…”

“…[4][5][6][7][8] Treatment of zinc and aluminium alloys using plasmas has already proven to enhance the corresponding surface adhesive properties. [9][10][11][12][13] Such improved adhesive properties were assigned to cleaning of the sample surface and modifications in the outermost surface region of the oxide layers.…”

“…These changes had a high impact on the adsorption of adhesives and selfassembled monolayers, where the addition of oxygen and especially water increased the adhesion properties of the surface. [31,32] In this work, we present a novel setup that allows us to perform in situ Raman spectroscopy on the backside of a gas permeable electrode. The setup geometry limits the plasma/surface interaction to the plasma effluent, thus allowing to determine the impact of long-living plasma-produced species on the surface.…”
