Abstract:The Surface Green Function Matching analysis (SGFM) is used to study the normal modes of the interface oscillations between two non-mixed fluids by considering the difference in their densities and viscosities. The limiting case of viscous-inviscid system is used for comparison. The role of the viscosity and the density ratios on the momentum exchange and on the polarization of the surface modes is analyzed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
