Abstract:The fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) from tyrosine to pyridoxine hydrochloride in different surfactant solutions and in deionized water has been investigated by using a fluorescence spectroscopic technique. The Stern-Volmer quenching constant, the distance between donor (tyrosine) and acceptor (pyridoxine hydrochloride), and the energy transfer efficiency were obtained using the Stern-Volmer relation and Forster's theory of nonradiative energy transfer. The data obtained from the measurement revea… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
