Surgical Approach to the Management of Cardiovascular Echinococcosis

Abstract: Cardiac hydatid cyst should be treated surgically without delay. Although its surgical treatment carries a high complication rate, gentle handling of the heart during cardiopulmonary bypass minimizes operative risk.
