Surgical management of endosalpingiosis with tubovaginal fistulization after hysterectomy by a combined laparoscopic‐vaginal route, and histological findings

Abstract: Background Isolated endosalpingiosis with vaginal fistulization after histerectomy is an extremely rare event. Case We present the interesting case of a female patient with persistent ‘menstrual bleeding’ after an abdominal hysterectomy. The cause was found to be an isolated endosalpingiosis with vaginal fistulization. Postoperative confirmation of the presumptive diagnosis was obtained by seamless histomorpholgical analysis of the tube and fistula and surrounding tissue.
