“…The results of this study showed that participants had moderate levels of disability (40.42 ± 14.93) and anxiety (44.53 ± 12.55) on average, and 31.6% of the participants had a certain level of depression (12.37 ± 8.48). These findings correspond with those of past studies (Atabey et al, ; Bener et al, ; Sathya et al, ). In a study among 112 patients with lumbar disease, Boakye et al () found that 75% of participants experienced severe to high disability, and 40%, moderate to severe depression.…”

“…This finding is consistent with that of past studies (Kim, Yi, & Cynn, ; Vanti, Ferrari, Villafañe, Berjano, & Monticone, ). Atabey et al () conducted a study on patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis and discovered that higher intensity pain resulted in a higher level of disability. Family support also had a bearing on preoperative disability ( p = .01); patients who were more satisfied with the family support they received appeared to have a lower level of disability.…”

“…Atabey et al applied insitu posterolateral transpedicular fusion to 34 patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis over age 70. The authors mentioned significant clinical improvement in their assessment with ODI and VAS scores [11]. We didn't make decompression in our patients because they were young in age and had no radicular pain.…”
