Surgical treatment of Bochodalek hernia incarcerated into the extra-pleural space: A rare case report

Abstract

Highlights Bochdalek hernia is caused by a congenital posterolateral diaphragmatic defect. Only 5% of Bochdalek hernias occurs in adult. We report incarceration of a Bochdalek hernia in the extra-pleural space. Surgical dissection of the parietal pleura was necessary to repair the condition.
