Abstract:BACKGROUND
The most commonly ingested foreign body in Asians is fish bone. The vast majority of patients have obvious symptoms and can be timely diagnosed and treated. Cases of pyogenic cervical spondylitis and diskitis with retropharyngeal and epidural abscess resulting in incomplete quadriplegia due to foreign body ingestion have been rarely reported.
