Surgical treatment results of purulent corneal ulcers in HIV patients

Abstract: Purulent corneal ulcers – severe inflammatory disease, often with unfavourable outcome. Therapeutic keratoplasty of this disease is the main treatment way. The total number of HIV cases in Russia and throughout the world is permanently increasing. 75 % of HIV-infected have ophthalmology manifestations, among all of them only 5 % is infection corneal lesions.
