Abstract:Bacterial meningitis is a severe infection with a high fatality rate, and affects children in particular. Three vaccines against the most common bacterial causatives of meningitis, Haemophilus influenzae type b, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Neisseria meningitides, exist.
