Abstract: Leptospirosis and hantavirus syndrome are two major rodent-borne diseases in Taiwan. Rocahepevirus ratii (RHEV), a virus closely related to hepatitis E virus (HEV, Paslahepevirus balayani), is emerging and has been reported to cause hepatitis in humans.
