“…Lo que confirmaría que hay una baja predisposición en los caballos chilenos para desarrollar aerofagia, tal vez por predisposición genética como ha sido observado en la raza caballo finés (Hemmann et al, 2014), sobre todo considerando que hay una serie de factores de riesgo asociados al manejo de los caballos chilenos que deberían aumentar la prevalencia de aerofagia, tales como no usar cama de paja (Christie et al, 2006), no tener acceso a pastoreo y recibir concentrado como parte de la alimentación (Wickens et al, 2010;Hothersall y Nicol, 2013).
